Is everything handmade?
Everything you find at PurpleHouse Artisans is made by hand, from components that are also often made by hand. This means there can be slight variations from the photos on our site in everything we make for you. The only exception to this are our One of a Kind items, where the item you see pictured on our website will be the very one you will receive.
How do I care for my PurpleHouse Artisans jewelry?
With TLC: Tender Loving Common Sense! Our jewelry is handmade and delicate by nature. It requires a reasonably gentle touch while handling and you should avoid tugging on pieces while you wear them. Avoid water and chemicals, and we recommend against sleeping or exercising while wearing any of our pieces in order to reduce the risk of breakage. All pieces will arrive with an anti-tarnish plastic bag which we recommend you keep to store your jewelry in, especially sterling silver which will tarnish much more quickly if stored in the open air.
When will I get my order?
In stock orders will be shipped to you within three business days of receiving your order. All orders will be mailed via USPS, and your shipping cost will be calculated at checkout.
Can I return my order?
We hope you love everything you receive from PurpleHouse Artisans! But if it turns out that a non-custom piece doesn’t work, please email us at info@purplehouseartisans.com within one week of receiving your order and let us know why. With prior authorization, we will refund your original purchase price, less shipping, once you have returned the item to us in its original gift box. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, and custom orders are non-refundable.
What if my jewelry needs to be repaired?
PurpleHouse Artisans jewelry is all handmade and is inherently delicate. It needs to be treated gently (for example, don’t pull your turtleneck over your head while wearing dangly earrings, don’t throw your earrings in a big heap on your nightstand, and don’t fiddle with your jewelry once you have it on!). We will not repair pieces that reflect mishandling or normal wear and tear. But if something unavoidable has happened to a favorite piece, contact us at info@purplehouseartisans, and depending on the situation, we may be able to repair or remake the item. Costs for repairs or replacements will be agreed upon with the customer before we accept the redo, and payment will be arranged via private link on our website.
Do you make custom jewelry?
Yes! If you see something on our site that inspires you to want something similar, or would like multiples of something (bridesmaids’ gifts?) please let us know. Depending on what it is, we can copy designs with different stones or colors, or create something similar based on our aesthetic that you describe. We will send you pictures of your piece in progress to be sure it is just what you had in mind. Once the piece is designed to your liking, we will send you a private link to purchase it through our website. Custom orders are all final sale and non-refundable.
